What we store, and for how long

A scan keeps what is needed to justify its findings: the pages as they were fetched, a trace of what the agent did in what order, and the cost of the run. Evidence is kept because a finding you cannot check is a claim rather than a result, and everything stored is drawn from a public storefront rather than from anything private.

A scan keeps the evidence behind its findings, because a finding you cannot check is a claim rather than a result.

What is kept

  • Pages as they were fetched, so a finding about your markup can be shown rather than asserted.
  • A trace of the attempt: what the agent did, in what order, and where it stopped.
  • The cost of the run, in tokens and browser time. A run without that record is treated as a defect on our side.
  • The model and prompt versions used, so a change in results can be attributed to your store or to us.

What is not

Nothing private, because nothing private is reachable. The agent reads a public storefront the way any visitor can, stops before payment, and never touches your admin.

Where a checkout needs an identity, it gets a clearly marked synthetic one tied to the run, so anything landing in your systems is identifiable as a test rather than mistaken for a customer.

Benchmarks are aggregate

Published category figures are aggregated and anonymised, and nothing is published for a category until enough distinct stores are in it for a single store not to be inferable. No per-store page is ever published.

Deletion

Ask at [email protected], naming the storefront. See getting a human.

Questions

Do you store customer data from my store?

No. A scan reads a public storefront the way any visitor can and stops before payment. It does not place orders, does not reach your admin, and does not see anything a shopper could not.

What is the synthetic identity used at checkout?

A clearly marked address tied to the run, so anything that reaches your systems is identifiable as a test rather than a customer. It is never a real person and never a plausible looking fake one.

Can I have my data deleted?

Yes. Ask at [email protected] and say which storefront. Aggregate benchmark figures are anonymised and cannot be traced back to a store, so removal applies to your own scans and reports.
