Delegated purchase
A delegated purchase is one a person authorises an agent to make on their behalf, so the decision to buy and the act of buying are separated in time and performed by different parties.
That separation is what makes agentic commerce structurally different from a person using a tool. Something has to connect the permission to the transaction, which is why cart mandates and payment authorisation protocols exist at all.
It also changes what a merchant can assume. The buyer never saw the product page, formed no impression from the photography, and chose on published facts alone.
Why it matters to a store
Anything you did not state was not considered, and anything you stated wrongly was believed. That raises the cost of vague copy from a missed opportunity to a returned order.
