Agent readiness score
An agent readiness score is a rating of how well a storefront exposes itself to AI agents, calculated from signals that can be read without buying anything: robots rules, structured data, feeds, published policies and whether bot protection lets an agent through.
A score of this kind is a signal check. It fetches what the store publishes about itself and grades the completeness of it. That is genuinely useful, it is cheap to run, and it catches the whole discover stage of the journey, which is where a store can be invisible without knowing it.
What it cannot do is press anything. A page can carry perfect product markup and a checkout that no agent can complete, and a signal check has no way to know, because the evidence of that failure only exists while something is trying.
Why it matters to a store
Treat a good readiness score as a passed first round. It says an agent can find you and read you. Whether it can buy from you is a separate question, answered by a separate kind of test.
